Mia and me...
is a television series based on an idea by Gerhard Hahn. The series was shot as a combination of live-action film and CGI animation. With the help of the two styles, two worlds are distinguished and connected in the series. The real world of Mia (season 1 & 2 played by Rosabell Laurenti Sellers) and the world of unicorns and elves.
Gustav Klimt
Many elements, such as buildings and robes, props, plants, clouds, but also decorative elements in the unicorns' manes, are inspired by Art Nouveau. Motifs by the painter Gustav Klimt can be found on the robes of the figures.
The Night Vine...
is a thorny and poisonous vine that was planted by the antagonist Dax in the Vapout room and spreads from there throughout Centopia. The plant is therefore one of the main characters of the entire season.
Ice cave • set design • reference sheet • color concept • lighting concept
A highlight of season 3 is the scene in which Dax performs a figure skating cure in an ice cave. The entire cave is full of crystals and even the icy floor looks like a crystal. The whole scene is supposed to be inspired by a ‘Holiday on ice’ show. With light spots, light cones that become visible in the haze and small particles that glitter in the light like swirling snowflakes
