Based on the children's book by the well-known author Helme Heine.
In Mullewapp, the farm animals have always lived together peacefully. There is the clever mouse Johnny Mauser, the proud rooster Franz von Hahn and of course the cozy pig Waldemar, who is always thinking about food. Just as the whole farm is preparing to celebrate Waldemar's birthday and hide a huge birthday cake from him, the nasty wild boars from the forest, led by Horst von Borst, set out to steal this very cake. It goes without saying that the three friends come up with something to prevent this.
The new animated film by Tony Loeser and Theresa Strozyk is based on the "Friends" children's books by author Helme Heine. The loving animations are directly based on the drawings in the books and the episodic narrative style is just right for the target group of the smallest and youngest cinema fans. There are fast-paced rides by bike and hot air balloon through the beautifully designed landscape and lots of funny moments, for which the very jovial and also somewhat clumsy Waldemar is often responsible. The narrators are famous actors such as Axel Prahl, Ralf Schmitz, Michael Kessler, Christian Ulmen and Carolin Kebekus, who fill their roles with great fun.At the center of the story are the three friends, who are very different, but each one is needed to save Mullewapp and thus the home. Of course, this can only be done together - another important child-friendly message that runs through the entire film, along with the call to always respect each other and treat each other politely. MULLEWAPP - EINE SCHÖNE SCHWEINEREI is great, entertaining children's cinema fun that is lovingly made and will not only make fans of the stories happy.
