It usually starts with the search for a bamboo stick. Something to draw in the sand. Then maybe there's an idea. A starting point. And everything else is a flow and appears in the moment.
I love to start at dawn. At low tide, when the beach is white and there are no footprints in the sand yet. When even the dogs are still asleep and you're alone with the sea.
And then it's great to see the first people walking along the beach, caught up in their normal 'brain cinema' and suddenly finding themselves in the middle of a mandala. How you can see the search for a concept, a drawer in their faces. A kind of brief perplexity. A moment in which there are no concepts and the space opens up...
