Storyline:
Based on the children books of Hans de Beer.
Caruso the singing penguin has been a thorn in the side of Kalle the polar bear for quite some time. Being a rather nasty polar bear, Kalle decides it’s high time to get rid of Caruso. The little polar bear Lars and his friend Robby want to help Caruso. Instead, however, the three of them end up in a clattering train headed south. From a port, they set sail across the ocean, only to be dragged over board in a fishing net. With their last ounce of strength they manage to reach the beach of a mysterious tropical island. There the three become acquainted with lots and lots of very strange and funny animals. But suddenly some scientists try to catch the biggest friend Lars has ever had. Now he needs help from all of his friends to foil the scientists‘ plan.
An epic story of survival and the power of true friendship, set against an Arctic backdrop.
